About this site
MoveAbroadCalculator.com helps people in India understand the real financial picture of moving to the UAE — before they sign an offer or book a flight.
Why we built it
Every year thousands of Indians receive a job offer in Dubai or Abu Dhabi and immediately ask the same question: "This salary sounds big, but how much will I actually save?" The headline AED figure means little until you subtract rent, food, transport, and convert what's left back into rupees.
Most people end up guessing, or piecing together numbers from random forum posts. We built a single, honest tool that does the maths in seconds so you can make an informed decision instead of an emotional one.
What the calculator does
- Shows your tax-free take-home pay (the UAE has no personal income tax)
- Estimates your realistic monthly savings after Dubai living costs
- Converts everything into Indian rupees at a rate you control
- Calculates your end-of-service gratuity under UAE labour law
- Compares your potential savings against your current India salary
How we keep it honest
All living costs and the exchange rate are editable, because everyone's situation is different. A single person sharing a room and a family renting a flat have completely different numbers, and we'd rather you adjust the figures than trust a one-size-fits-all guess.
This is an estimation tool, not professional advice. We explain our assumptions openly and encourage you to verify anything important with your employer and a qualified advisor.
Who runs it
This is an independent project built and maintained by a small team that follows the India–Gulf migration space. We are not a recruitment agency, bank, or money-transfer service, and we don't charge users anything. The site is supported by advertising and affiliate partnerships, which you can read about in our disclosure.
